Healthy Mom Healthy BabySG Baby Club will be organising an event with Parkway East Hospital on 27 Jan 2018.  My story as a first time mom on childbirth and epidural by Tay Kewei, Singer-song writer.

Date: 27 Jan 2018 (Saturday)
Time: 10.45am to 1.30pm (Registration starts at 10.30am)

We welcome all expectant moms with an attractive goodie bag and lucky draw prizes will be given. Admission is $10 per pax or $15 per couple. Lunch will be served too.

As space is limited, priority will be given for those who registered based on first-come-first-serve basis.

About  Mr Louis Yap

Mr Louis YapLouis Yap Wei Ming is a clinical dietitian from Parkway East Hospital. Having been inspired by his personal experience of cancer, he embarked on a journey to understand the relationship and its effects between food and diseases. With a degree in Masters in Nutrition and Dietetics, he has seen patients from different medical conditions including diabetes, heart diseases, weight management, paediatrics, antenatal, nutritional supports, oncology and even general healthy eating. Louis is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) with the Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA). He provides personal nutritional and motivational counselling to patients to fit their individual dietary needs. Louis is also active in sports such as rowing, swimming and enjoys playing with his little toddler niece.

 

 

About Tay KeWei

A Sassy Singaporean singer-songwriter, KeWei used to be the supporting singer of superstars David Tao, A-mei, Wang Lee Hom and our country’s very own JJ Lin.

Kewei was nicknamed the “angel of harmony” and she plays several instruments such as the guitar, ukulele and piano, but catches most attention by playing the er-hu.

Kewei’s talents has got her involved in many events and performances, such as the Celebrate SG50 Countdown show, Temasek Holding’s Jubilee at the Botanic Gardens, SEA Games 2015, ASEAN-China Friendship Concert at Beijing TV Centre and The Eye ball 2017, just to name a few.

In June 2016, Kewei staged her first full-fledged solo concert at the Esplanade Concert Hall, and were well-received by the media and public alike. She also released her latest EP <Chi> in conjunction with the concert.

In August 2017, she released a duet “Yi Wei De Yi Wei” with Alfred Sim, one of the soundtracks for Mediacorp Channel 8 blockbuster drama ‘When Duty Calls’, which was in Singapore Viral50 playlist on Spotify.

About Dr Ting Hua Sieng

Dr Ting Hua SiengDr Ting Hua Sieng is an obstetrics and gynaecology (O&G) specialist practising at Parkway East Hospital. Her special interests are in laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery for women’s disorders. Dr Ting has almost 20 years of experience in O&G practice. She has Level III Gynae-laparoscopy Accreditation and has performed well over 1,000 cases of laparoscopic myomectomy, hysterectomy and cystectomy to remove fibroids, uterus and cysts respectively. She also regularly performs open surgery for cases that are not suitable for keyhole surgery. Dr Ting takes care of women during their pregnancy and handles their delivery. She also looks after women with non-pregnancy related conditions such as fibroids, ovarian cysts, menstruation problem, menopause, urinary incontinence, prolapse, screening for gynaecological cancers including Pap smears, ultrasound scans (trans-vaginal and trans-abdominal) and blood tests.
